Ashley, from which the plot of the story revolves, is the dangerous and seductive femme fatal type. She is someone who knows what she wants, and does whatever it takes to get it. A smart and independent individual, she needs no one, because no one has needed her. She's only used and never really truly loved, yet she's learned to use this to her advantage. She uses her attractiveness and sensuality to course Tyler into her every whim, and though he's in love with her for more than just the fact that she is beautiful, she can’t quite bring herself to really trust/believe him.
